Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC)
Individuals wishing to apply for a Canadian Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licence (aka: PAL) or a Minors Firearms Licence (ages 12-17*) must take the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and pass the related examination.

Ontario hunters wishing to hunt with a non-restricted firearm (e.g. rifle, shotgun, muzzleload rifle or shotgun) must take Canadian Firearms Safety Course training and possess a valid Canadian Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) or a Minors Firearm Licence (ages 12-17)

Individuals under 18 years of age must file consent signed by a parent/guardian before commencing training... consent forms available at class.

Our CFSC training consists of 10-12 hours of in-class hands-on training and includes the related 2-part examination challenge

Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)
A Restricted Firearms Licence (RPAL) is required to acquire or possess restricted firearms in Canada (e.g common handguns that are not prohibited)

Canadian Restricted Firearm Safety Course (CRFSC) participants must be at least 18 years of age.

Individuals who do not possess a valid PAL must complete both the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC non-restricted) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC- restricted)

Individuals who do possess a valid non-restricted PAL and wish to apply for a restricted licence (RPAL) must complete the Canadian Restricted Firearms Course-Stand Alone and pass the related examination

Training requires in-class attendance... participants must attend classes and complete the related examination process to be successful

Ontario Hunter Education Program (OHEP)
All Ontario resident hunters are required to possess a valid Ontario Outdoors Card. This includes Apprentice Hunters. To obtain an Ontario Outdoors Card, applicants are required to complete mandatory Ontario Hunter Education training and pass the related examination. Recommended minimum age 12 years.

If wishing to hunt with a bow or falconry only (no gun hunting) then Ontario Hunter Education-as a Stand Alone is for you.

If wishing to hunt with a rifle, shotgun, muzzleload rifle or shotgun you must also complete the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and possess a valid non-restricted firearms licence (PAL) or a Minors Firearms Licence (age 12-17) .
Ontario Hunter Education Training is good for a lifetime and need not to be repeated as a person ages.
